More iPhone Apps

Convertbot – A slick and useful unit conversion tool.

SplashNotes – A simple but powerful outliner and list maker. Great for us “Getting Things Done” fans. Syncs with a desktop version available for both Mac and PC.

Amazon Kindle – A reader for the iPhone. You can buy books and it will sync your bookmark.

PocketMoney – Amazing financial software. I liked SplashMoney but the iPhone version is buggy. PocketMoney is great.

BillMinder – The perfect way to track your bills. It can also send info to PocketMoney.

Shopper – Easy to use and very flexible shopping list application.

SplashID – The perfect password manager.

QuickSheet – Definitely for power users – it is a spreadsheet app AND it can manage your .Mac / .Me files and iDisk!

Decibel – Simple, elegant, accurate decibel meter.

Do you have any good iphone applications for current events? I play a current events game every Friday in my classroom and I would really like to use my iphone to help me out.

Great question! Have you tried Google’s iPhone app? I use it regularly – it has a News category which drills down to different categories as well as an RSS reader where you can setup your feeds from your computer with a google account. It’s quite a powerful little app.

Other than that, most major newspapers – ie Chicago Tribune, have apps or iPhone friendly mobile pages.

See what you think and let me know!
