My Philosophies
Philosophy of Education
Education is something everyone should be entitled to, helping us to get the most out of life. It allows us to be better people, parents, and citizens by oftentimes exposing us to things we are not familiar with. Education allows us to make informed decisions and gives us choices, not necessarily vocational choices but lifestyle choices
Qualities of an Outstanding Teacher
An outstanding teacher should love their subject and love learning, taking a sincere interest in the students. The teacher should be patient, understanding, open minded, and exhibit qualities of leadership. They should be proficient in the area, set high standards both personally and professionally, and always be looking for improvement.
Why I Choose to Teach
I became a teacher because of my excitement for music and music education, and my desire to share this excitement with others. When I chose this career I looked to see what I enjoyed doing, what I enjoyed learning more of, improving and excelling in. Music education was and is the answer.
Music Education Philosophy
Music is a subject that not only contributes to other areas but also one that everyone can participate in and enjoy. Music permeates throughout our lives and everyone should have the opportunity to be a part of the music making process.
Other Personal Music / Ed. Statements
I am very excited about music and music education. I enjoy sharing this excitement and getting others involved in this wonderful experience. As a teacher I greatly enjoy working with children and am willing to put forth the extra effort needed to be an effective instructor. I work well with people and have been successful in a variety of situations.
I am continually striving to enhance my performance and educational skills.
