A sample thank you letter to a high school that hosted my group for a combined concert. I printed it on school letterhead.
Mr. Miller, Ms. Weiss, Students, Parents, and Administration:
Thank you for hosting the Middle School Orchestra for the Halloween Concert! The entire event was a lot of fun for me and a great experience for the musicians. It was exciting to see so many string players on the stage!
Your orchestra has a beautiful sound and it was a delight to conduct our combined orchestra. The students had a very mature sound on the Mussorgsky and an impressively warm sound on Beauty and the Beast. Jurassic Park was a great opener. Your group is filled with excellent musicians and outstanding people. You are doing great things and it shows. West is an exceptional place for everyone and especially musicians; your students are very fortunate to have such fine teachers.
I realize that hosting such an event requires extra time, effort, and money and we appreciate all that went into the afternoon and concert.
Thanks again for such a great opportunity and we look forward to doing to again.
