Supplies
Here are some music supplies and replacement parts I keep on hand:
Sacconi Tailguts – they have screw on ends and can be replaced quickly.
Fitted Adjustable bridges – Aubert / Dejacques brand
Fine Tuners
Rosin – For violin, viola, and cello I keep several dozen of the Sherman brand rosin.I do like to have on hand a a few good rosins for students to try – such as Jade Rosin, Hill or Pirastro. I also have a cake of Super Sensitive’s Hypo-Allergenic rosin as there is the occasional student that is allergic to standard rosin
For bass, several cakes of Pops and a few of Nyman or Carlson.
Xeros endpin holders or Rock stops
Shoulder Rests, Sponges
Pliers – I find a multi-purpose tool such as a Leatherman to be indispensable.
Corn pads from the drugstore – I use them on bows for finger placement.
Car pinstriping – used on fingerboards to mark finger placement.
