Be a Better Student

Try!

Be on time

Ask a question if you’re not sure. But you don’t need to ask a question for the sake of asking.

Be honest – really!

Care! Us teachers do!

Try a little!

Practice – even a little

Have a pencil – AND USE IT

….”But you don’t need to have a question just to ask one.”

If this is even remotely representative of the standard of your tuition, include me out. What about clarity of communication, geezer?

  2. I stopped using the word “try” in my studio. My students like this because it is zen-like, and helps them approach the bass as a disciplined warrior would.

“No! Try not. Do, or do not. There is no try.”
